November 15, 2008: I’ll be spending the rest of the year revising and re-drafting the first novel in my tentatively titled trilogy Contagious Magic. I renamed the first book A Sudden Outbreak of Magic.

September 1, 2008: And the second coat of paint has been applied to my young-adult urban fantasy novel The Secret History of Magic. Done, and sent off to my agent!
August 12, 2008: My new Web site (right here! this place!) is officially launched. Much champagne was drunk and drank, and the party lasted all the way into tomorrow.
July 19, 2008: I finished up a very major rewrite of my young-adult urban fantasy novel The Secret History of Magic. Just one more coat of paint and this book is off to my agent!
July 15, 2008: My alternate-history baseball story “A Miracle in Shreveport” was named an Honorable Mention story by Gardner Dozois in his Year’s Best Science Fiction anthology for 2007.
May 13, 2008: I am pleased to report that my fiction will be represented by the wonderful and wise Colleen Lindsay of FinePrint Literary Management. Hooray!
April 1, 2008: My story “Painting Haiti” was published in the urban fantasy anthology Paper Cities.
February 6, 2008: I now have story reprints available at both the Sony eBook Reader store and the AnthologyBuilder site.
January 22, 2008: My SF novel The Wannoshay Cycle came out in January 2008 from Five Star Books.
January 3, 2008: I sold a novel to Prime Books: A Gathering of Doorways (due out in November 2008).
